More Brown Bluff?

Stephen Metcalfe, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for South Basildon & East Thurrock has condemned Gordon Browns visit to Basildon & Thurrock Hospital as yet more spin from the masters of deception.

The visit on Friday was not all it appeared. Brown and his entourage arrived to open the new Cardiothoracic unit, the only problem was it had already been open for 3 months!

For three months the Unit has been treating patients, it has had a Ministerial Visit and had announced it was open back in July.

Stephen said, “The opening of the unit was a sham. Gordon Brown is treating us like fools if he thinks that we cannot see through his attempt to use this fake opening as an attempt to bolster support for his Member of Parliament in one of the key battle ground seats. They tried to deceive the public and failed.”

Stephen added, “It would now appear that the whole charade has back fired and that any attempt to trick the people of Basildon & Thurrock has fallen apart.”

“Now that Gordon Brown has backed off from holding a General Election, we will continue to work hard to highlight that while Gordon Brown claims to be new, it’s just the same old Government with the same old spin” concluded Stephen.
