Brown Bottles It!

Stephen Metcalfe, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for South Basildon & East Thurrock has has added his support for the comments David Cameron has made today in an article in The Sunday Telegraph.

David Cameron has accused Gordon Brown of "weakness" after his refusal to call an election and let the public vote for change.

Following the Prime Minister's disclosure to the BBC that he had decided against going to the country, David said that this was a "humiliating retreat".

"The reason the Prime Minister has cancelled this election is because the Conservative Party is making the arguments about the changes this country needs and people are responding very positively to our proposals."

Stephen added, "As I meet people on the door step it is clear people want a change and are seeing through Gordon Browns attempt to distance himself from the last 10 years. Now the election has been called off for the time being the Conservatives will continue to hold this Government to account and present a brghter, better alternative."
