Business Forum Sucess with
Mark Hoban MP

Prospective Conservative MPs Jackie Doyle-Price and Stephen Metcalfe have today given notice that they wish to work side by side with the business community in Thurrock and Basildon by arranging and hosting a business forum attended by Shadow Treasury minister Mark Hoban.

Mark is responsible with George Osborne for developing future economic and taxation policy as well as responding to the recent budget.

Mark Hoban spoke of the challenges facing British Business and how a Conservative Government would begin to address those issues.

The event attended by local entrepreneurs and business leaders provided an opportunity not only to hear Mark but also a chance for business to put its concerns direct to a front bench spokesman.

Stephen said, "I am very pleased to have been able to give our local businesses the opportunity to raise their concerns about economy. Such discussions play an important role in shaping our agenda as we prepare for Government"

Jackie said, "Our business community are our wealth creators and employers – it is vital that we engage positively with them to make sure that Thurrock & Basildon become the best they can be. As we are facing a period of economic turbulence it is important that we listen and respond to the concerns of local business. We will make sure that these views are heard at the very top of the Party."
