Vice Lord Chamberlain Mark Francois MP opens joint office of Stephen Metcalfe MP, Jackie Doyle-Price MP and the local Conservative Party.
 
Mark Francois, Member of Parliament for Rayleigh & Wickford and former Langdon Hills Councillor opened the new constituency office of Stephen Metcalfe MP, Jackie Doyle-Price MP and the local Conservative Party on Friday evening.
 
Stephen Metcalfe, Member of Parliament for South Basildon & East Thurrock whose constituency the office is located in said “This is a fantastic office with modern facilities that will serve my constituents well. I am glad that I am able to share it with my colleague Jackie Doyle-Price, Member of Parliament for Thurrock, not only do we often have joint issues and campaigns that we work together on, it presents better value for money for the taxpayer. It is important that we seek to save the taxpayer money, not just in these times of austerity but to continue to do so as the economy recovers. The joint office allows us to save money by sharing costs such as rent, rates and equipment. I thank Mark for opening the office and think its only fitting as he was once a Councillor in my constituency.”
